Representative Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania has returned from a series of significant international meetings aimed at bolstering U.S. leadership in global security and NATO unity. His engagements included the Munich Security Conference in Germany, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly meeting in Brussels, and a House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) trip to London.

These meetings addressed pressing international security concerns, with discussions focused on countering authoritarian threats and reinforcing transatlantic defense cooperation. A key topic was ensuring support for Ukraine amidst ongoing Russian aggression.

At the Munich Security Conference and NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Fitzpatrick emphasized the need for European nations to enhance their defense efforts against Russian threats. He called for increased defense spending, cessation of Russian oil and gas purchases, and stronger military and diplomatic support for Ukraine. "The world is facing a pivotal moment," said Fitzpatrick. "History will remember who stood for freedom and who faltered."

In Brussels, Fitzpatrick engaged in strategic dialogues with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to discuss enhancing European military capabilities and developing long-term security frameworks for Ukraine. He stated, “A strong, unified NATO—where every member nation has equal skin in the game—is the foundation for lasting global security.”

Fitzpatrick also met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Munich Security Conference to reaffirm America's commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty. He stressed that any peace deal must include Ukraine's participation: “President Zelenskyy is absolutely right—there will be no peace deal on Ukraine without Ukraine at the table."

Fitzpatrick’s travels highlight his dedication to maintaining U.S. influence as a stabilizing force globally. His background includes serving on the HPSCI since 2021, focusing on cybersecurity threats and foreign intelligence operations that impact U.S. national security.

Fitzpatrick continues his advocacy as Co-Chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, supporting American resolve towards Ukraine's fight against tyranny.
