Rep. Joe Hogan and Sen. Frank Farry have announced the allocation of grant funding for four projects in the 142nd House District and 6th Senate District. The funds come from the Pennsylvania Local Share Account (LSA) program.
Langhorne Manor Borough is set to receive $348,826 for drainage swale replacements along West Prospect Avenue, located between Station Avenue and Hulmeville Avenue. This project will incorporate infiltration trenches as part of the infrastructure improvements.
Lower Southampton Township has been granted $313,999 to purchase and install new intersection cameras at approximately 22 locations throughout the township. This initiative aims to enhance traffic monitoring capabilities.
The Upper Southampton Municipal Authority (USMA) will obtain $593,343 for two bypass pumps at the Mill Creek Pump Station in Lower Southampton. These upgrades are part of a broader effort to improve sanitary sewer stations.
Middletown Township will benefit from a $1 million grant dedicated to completing lighting upgrades at Community Park. The enhancements include replacing lighting systems at a skate park, two soccer fields, and a baseball field.
"I am thrilled to see this grant money come through for projects in the district," said Hogan. "All of these projects help improve the quality of life for the citizens of these areas and will help lower Bucks continue to be a great place to live and grow a family."
Senator Farry expressed similar sentiments: “I’m pleased to have helped secure funding for these important projects in the district. Each addresses a critical need and will greatly benefit our community for years to come.”
These grants are distributed under the PA Race Horse Development and Gaming Act (Act 2004-71), which channels gaming revenues through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) for public interest projects across Pennsylvania.
