Senator Farry has announced the allocation of over $400,000 in grants to fire and emergency medical services (EMS) companies within the 6th Senatorial District. The funding comes from the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grant Program.
Farry highlighted his role in reauthorizing and expanding this grant program through legislation. "Through legislation, I was instrumental in reauthorizing this grant program, as well as expanding it to better meet the needs of our local volunteer and career fire companies," he stated. He emphasized the importance of this state funding for both volunteer and paid first responders and the communities they serve.
The Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program is an annual initiative that supports volunteer and career fire companies, EMS, and rescue squads. It is managed by the Office of State Fire Commissioner.
