Langhorne, PA – Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has announced the allocation of $500,000 in Community Project Funding for the Bucks County Industrial Development Authority’s Startup Bucks Fund. This funding is part of a broader effort to channel federal resources to projects benefiting Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District.

Fitzpatrick secured over $27.5 million for 14 community projects through the Fiscal Year 2024 budget. In previous years, he obtained more than $19 million in FY23 and over $6.6 million in FY22 for various initiatives.

Startup Bucks, established in 2019, supports local entrepreneurs by investing up to $25,000 in early-stage startups. The organization benefits from funding provided by the Bucks County Industrial Development Authority and Penn Community Bank grants. With Fitzpatrick's support, Startup Bucks aims to expand its reach and foster economic development.

"Small businesses are the backbone of our economy," stated Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick. He emphasized his commitment to reducing regulatory costs and expanding access to capital for small businesses.

Stephen Marzullo, Chairman of the Bucks County Industrial Development Authority Board, highlighted the county's tradition of supporting small businesses. "This funding from Congressman Fitzpatrick shows the strong commitment we all have in Bucks County," he said.

TJ Lonergan, Executive Director of the Bucks County Industrial Development Authority, added that this investment will help entrepreneurs navigate challenges and drive economic growth throughout the county.

Startup Bucks strives to create a thriving startup ecosystem within Bucks County and attracts entrepreneurs due to its proximity to Philadelphia and New York City.
