Representative Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania's First Congressional District has successfully secured over $27.5 million in funding for 14 community projects that will directly benefit constituents in the district. The funding was included in the bipartisan appropriations packages for Fiscal Year 2024, which fully fund the federal government through September 30, 2024.

In a statement, Rep. Fitzpatrick expressed his satisfaction with the inclusion of the community project funding in the spending packages, stating, "I am thrilled the community project funding I fought for was included in the House-passed bipartisan spending packages." He highlighted the importance of these projects in assisting organizations that serve the homeless population, modernizing water infrastructure, helping local municipalities, and supporting essential social services.

The projects cover a wide range of initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for residents in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Among the funded projects are the revitalization of the Route 1 Corridor in Bensalem Township, the renovation and expansion of facilities for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County, and the development of a Crisis Stabilization Center to address mental health and substance use disorders in Bucks County.

Other projects include the modernization of public safety programs in Bucks County, stormwater management improvements in Perkasie Borough, and infrastructure support for affordable housing development in Bucks County by Woods Services.

Rep. Fitzpatrick emphasized his commitment to ensuring these projects are carried out efficiently to meet the needs of the community, stating, "I look forward to working closely with all project sponsors to ensure these projects are carried out as efficiently as possible to help the residents who are in need of these programs and services."
