Lawmakers Secure Nearly $1 Million State Grant for Pedestrian Access Improvement in Northampton

State Reps. Kristin Marcell, Joe Hogan, and State Sen. Frank Farry have announced the approval of a Multimodal Transportation Fund Grant for Northampton Township, amounting to nearly $1 million. The funds will be utilized in Richboro to enhance sidewalk access in the area.

"Ensuring our residents can travel safely within our community is paramount, which is why state support for local infrastructure projects, like the sidewalk improvements in Richboro, is so essential," stated Marcell, emphasizing the importance of the grant in enhancing pedestrian safety.

Hogan expressed his satisfaction with the funding, stating, "It is great to see Northampton Township receive this key funding. I want to thank Rep. Marcell, Sen. Farry, and local officials for coming together to work for Northampton and securing money for this important project."

Similarly, Sen. Farry highlighted the significance of the project, stating, "I am pleased to have helped secure this funding for Northampton Township. This important project will greatly benefit our community and ensure the safety of the residents."

The Multimodal Transportation Fund, which provided the grant, aims to encourage economic development and ensure a safe and reliable transportation system for the residents of the Commonwealth.
