Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has been unanimously reelected as Co-Chair of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus for the 119th Congress. The caucus, comprising 52 members evenly split between Republicans and Democrats, focuses on addressing key national issues through bipartisan collaboration.
Under Fitzpatrick's leadership, the caucus has supported significant legislation, including COVID-19 relief measures and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. In the previous Congress, it endorsed 30 bipartisan bills, several of which became law. Notable among these are the Social Security Fairness Act, which expanded benefits for public servants; the Fiscal Responsibility Act, aimed at curbing government spending; and the Invest to Protect Act, enhancing police department resources.
The caucus also contributed to preventing government shutdowns and advancing immigration reform through the DIGNIDAD (Dignity) Act. This act proposes securing borders while improving asylum processes and economic growth.
Fitzpatrick expressed gratitude for his reelection: "I am deeply honored by the unanimous trust and confidence of my colleagues to continue serving as Co-Chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus." He emphasized that bipartisan cooperation is crucial in tackling national challenges.
Beyond his role in this caucus, Fitzpatrick serves on several congressional committees and task forces. He is a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and chairs a subcommittee on National Intelligence within the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Additionally, he participates in various task forces addressing mental health, antisemitism, cancer research, fire services, space exploration, animal protection, childcare issues, disabilities advocacy, environmental concerns related to PFAS chemicals and river watersheds.
