Applications are now open for the Community Conservation Partnerships Program Grants, as announced by Senator Frank Farry (R-6). These grants aim to support communities and nonprofits in planning, developing, and conserving recreation, park, and trail facilities.
Senator Farry emphasized the importance of outdoor recreation and nature conservation for the community. "These grants provide the necessary funding to maintain and improve our local recreational areas, and I strongly encourage eligible organizations to apply," he stated.
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) offers these grants to counties, municipalities, municipal agencies, pre-qualified land trusts, nonprofits, and other eligible organizations. The funding relates to parks, recreation, and conservation efforts. The DCNR Recreation and Conservation grant program is supported by various state and federal sources including Pennsylvania’s natural gas impact fee.
Interested parties can submit their applications until April 5th. Further information about the grant program is available on the DCNR website at https://www.dcnr.pa.gov/Communities/Grants/Pages/default.aspx
