Langhorne, PA – Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has announced the allocation of over $2 million in federal funds to support infrastructure improvements in Perkasie Borough. This funding is part of the FY24 Consolidated Appropriations Act and aims to address essential infrastructure needs within Pennsylvania's 1st Congressional District.

The Community Project Funding (CPF) initiative, included in the Fiscal Year 2024 budget, facilitated this allocation. Through this process for the 118th Congress, Fitzpatrick secured more than $27.5 million for various community projects benefiting his constituents. In previous years, he obtained over $19 million for projects in FY23 and over $6.6 million in FY22.

The funding will support Perkasie Borough’s Park Avenue Stormwater and Pedestrian Improvements Project. The project is designed to enhance safety, improve stormwater management, and increase pedestrian access along Park Avenue. It also includes extending the Liberty Bell Trail and upgrading an outdated stormwater basin into a modern system.

Steve Rose from Perkasie Borough Council expressed gratitude for the grant: “We are incredibly grateful for this federal grant, which will enable us to make critical stormwater and pedestrian improvements to West Park Avenue... We want to extend a special thank you to Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick.”

Congressman Fitzpatrick highlighted the importance of investing in local infrastructure: "Investing in local infrastructure is fundamental to ensuring the safety, growth, and prosperity of our entire community... These critical upgrades will solve long-standing challenges."

Additionally, Fitzpatrick has secured funding for other significant projects across Bucks County.
