Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick announced the acquisition of a $1 million Community Project Funding (CPF) grant to expand the Pavilion at Grand View Health. This funding is part of Fitzpatrick's efforts to enhance healthcare services in Pennsylvania's First District.

The CPF program, introduced by Fitzpatrick into the FY23 Consolidated Appropriations Act, enables Members of Congress to allocate federal funds for projects that address significant community needs within their districts. Through this initiative, Fitzpatrick has secured over $27.5 million for 14 community projects benefiting his constituents.

The grant supports the expansion of Grand View Health’s Pavilion, which includes four specialized patient-at-risk rooms within its new emergency department. These facilities aim to improve safety and service delivery for both patients and staff. The funding also facilitates enhancements such as covered drop-off areas, private waiting rooms, 28 private treatment rooms, advanced neurological services like telestroke consultations, 52 new smart rooms, and 10 operating rooms.

Doug Hughes, President and CEO of Grand View Health stated: “The construction of the Pavilion at Grand View Health provided a unique opportunity to design and build a patient-at-risk unit... The financial support secured through the Community Project Funding program and Congressman Fitzpatrick’s efforts on our behalf provided essential financial resources to develop a secure and safe patient-at-risk space.”

Fitzpatrick emphasized his commitment as Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder Task Force: "Ensuring our community has access to top-tier mental and behavioral health resources is essential... This funding represents a significant milestone in our mission."

Grand View Health has served Bucks and Montgomery counties for over a century as a non-profit hospital offering diverse medical services including emergency care, surgery, cardiology, oncology, orthopedics among others. It is affiliated with several networks including Penn Medicine Orthopedic Surgery and provides specialized outpatient care across multiple centers.
