The Worthington Mill Bridge in Wrightstown Township has been officially dedicated to Col. Daniel Laurence “Larry” Rubini, following a ceremony attended by Rep. Kristin Marcell (R-Bucks), Sen. Frank Farry (R-Bucks), veterans, local leaders, and community members.
Col. Rubini was a longtime resident of Bucks County and served over 30 years in the U.S. Army Reserves as both a judge advocate general and civil affairs officer. His military service included deployments supporting American diplomacy, humanitarian efforts, and post-conflict reconstruction worldwide. He participated in Operation Desert Storm, Operation Uphold Democracy in Haiti, and Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he worked as senior advisor to the Ministry of Justice.
“Col. Rubini spent his life building connections between people, institutions and nations,” said Marcell. “Naming this bridge in his honor is a fitting tribute to a man who dedicated his career to public service, international cooperation and the rule of law.”
Beyond his military service, Rubini practiced law and served as an administrative law judge. He was active in veterans’ advocacy and civic engagement within Bucks County, contributing to initiatives such as establishing the Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
Family members, military colleagues, and public officials gathered at the dedication ceremony to remember Rubini’s contributions to national security, justice, and the local community.
“Larry’s legacy reminds us that service comes in many forms and that its impact can stretch far beyond borders and generations,” said Farry. “We are grateful for all he gave and proud to help preserve his memory.”
The Col. Daniel “Larry” Rubini Bridge is now located on Worthington Mill Road.
