Rep. K.C. Tomlinson and Sen. Frank Farry have announced that Bensalem Township has been awarded a grant from the Pennsylvania Local Share Account (LSA) program to fund an odor scrubber replacement project at the Totem Road Pump Station. The current chemical odor scrubber unit will be replaced as it has reached the end of its life, with $500,000 allocated for this initiative.

Tomlinson expressed her approval of the development, stating, “This is excellent news for the Bensalem area.” She emphasized the importance of replacing the existing odor scrubber to ensure that the pump station continues to treat wastewater effectively.

Farry also commented on his role in securing funding for this essential project, saying, “I’m pleased to have helped secure funding for this necessary project in Bensalem.” He highlighted that the investment would maintain operational efficiency in their odor control system.

The grant is part of efforts under the PA Race Horse Development and Gaming Act (Act 2004-71), which allows gaming revenues to be distributed through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) to support public interest projects across Pennsylvania.
