Reps. Joe Hogan and KC Tomlinson, along with Sen. Frank Farry, are set to hold a press conference to discuss proposed legislation that aims to expand the collection of DNA samples in the criminal justice system. The proposal mandates collecting DNA from individuals arrested for serious violent or sexual offenses, similar to how fingerprints are currently taken.

The event will feature Bucks County Sheriff Fred Harran and Ashley Spence, a rape survivor and advocate for DNA technology. The press conference is scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, at 10 a.m., at the Capitol Media Center in Harrisburg.

The session will be available via livestream unless technical issues arise. For more information, media can contact Joe Szymanski at 717-260-6668 or jsyzmanski@pahousegop.com.
