Rep. K.C. Tomlinson will host a press conference in Harrisburg to discuss House Resolution 402, which seeks to recognize May 20, 2024, as "Rescue Dog Day" in Pennsylvania. The event will feature representatives from the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), Women’s Animal Center, the Humane Society of the Harrisburg Area (HSHA), and PA PitStop.

The press conference is scheduled for Tuesday, June 4, at 2 p.m., on the front steps of the Pennsylvania State Capitol. Participants include Tomlinson; Kristen Tullo, PA state director for HSUS; Cathy Malkemes, CEO of Women’s Animal Center; Aspasia Yeager, HSHA operations director; and Denise Klonis, co-founder of PA PitStop.
