State Rep. Kristin Marcell | Pennsylvania 178th Legislative District
Rep. Kristin Marcell of Bucks County has commenced her duties for the 2025-26 Legislative Session following her swearing-in on January 7. Marcell announced her assignments to several committees, including Appropriations, Commerce, Professional Licensure, and Aging and Older Adult Services.
“These assignments provide an excellent opportunity to work on important issues that directly impact the residents of Bucks County,” stated Marcell. She emphasized the significance of these roles in addressing older adults' needs, shaping financial priorities, supporting local businesses, and preparing the workforce.
The Appropriations Committee is notably influential within the General Assembly as it oversees the state budget and fiscal recommendations. Marcell aims to ensure responsible and efficient use of taxpayer dollars through this role.
On the Commerce Committee, she will tackle business-related issues and economic development. Her involvement with the Professional Licensure Committee will focus on enhancing licensing processes across Pennsylvania's professions.
The Aging and Older Adult Services Committee deals with senior-related matters such as service access, long-term care, and quality-of-life improvements.
Additionally, Marcell will serve as vice chair of the House Republican Policy Committee. In this capacity, she will contribute to shaping legislative strategies and analyzing policies affecting Commonwealth residents.
