Reps. Kristin Marcell and Joe Hogan, along with Sen. Frank Farry, have announced that Northampton Township has been awarded a $1 million state grant. The funding, provided through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), will be used for the construction of Northampton Fire Station No. 3 at 3 Township Road. This development aims to enhance safety and emergency response capabilities in the Richboro community.
"I am proud to have worked with Senator Farry and Representative Hogan to help secure this grant, which will help defray the costs of construction to develop this state-of-the-art facility for our firefighters," said Marcell. "This new station represents a major upgrade for emergency response capabilities for our community."
The collaboration between Marcell, Hogan, and Farry was instrumental in securing the RACP funding.
"I am pleased I was able to help secure this funding for the construction of Northampton Fire Station No. 3," said Farry. "The new station will bring enhanced safety to our first responders and the communities they protect."
Hogan also expressed his satisfaction with the project: "I am thrilled to have been a part of securing this RACP funding," he said. "This long-term investment will allow the Northampton Township Fire Department to keep our community safe while serving with efficiency and compassion for decades to come."
The RACP is designed to support critical infrastructure projects across Pennsylvania. The new fire station in Northampton Township is expected to serve as a modern hub for emergency services, aiding local firefighters and first responders while enhancing community safety.
