State Representative Kristin Marcell and Senator Frank Farry have announced that Bucks County will receive significant funding for local projects through the Local Share Account grant program. The Commonwealth Financing Authority has awarded these grants to support public safety and infrastructure improvements in the region.
“These grants represent significant investments in our community’s safety, infrastructure and quality of life,” said Marcell. “I’m thrilled our local municipalities will benefit from this funding, which will positively impact the well-being of our residents and ensure continued safety and security in the district.”
Farry added, “We are committed to improving the quality of life for our residents by helping with funding for critical infrastructure and public safety. Whether it's upgrading sewer lines, supporting our first responders or enhancing community parks, these projects will benefit our community for years to come.”
Warwick Township received $510,000 to replace playground equipment at Warwick Community Park. The new equipment aims to address previous safety concerns with features like a sunshade, native trees, and a safer surface.
The township also secured $1 million to replace "Tower 66," an aerial platform used by the Warwick Fire Company that has experienced mechanical failures. This funding is intended to provide reliable equipment for fire and rescue operations.
Wrightstown Township was granted $1 million on behalf of Lingohocken Fire Company to replace an outdated fire pumper crucial for areas lacking public water.
Upper Southampton Municipal Authority was awarded $500,000 for sewer line upgrades on Second Street Pike and Knowles Avenue. These updates aim to improve deteriorating sewer infrastructure.
Upper Southampton Township received $96,800 to install license plate recognition cameras at key intersections on Street Road. This system is expected to enhance law enforcement capabilities in vehicle-related investigations.
