State Rep. Kristin Marcell | Pennsylvania 178th Legislative District
Rep. Kristin Marcell of Bucks County has commenced her duties for the 2025-26 Legislative Session after being sworn in on January 7. She announced her committee assignments, which include roles in Appropriations, Commerce, Professional Licensure, and Aging and Older Adult Services.
"These assignments provide an excellent opportunity to work on important issues that directly impact the residents of Bucks County," Marcell stated. "From addressing the needs of older adults to shaping the state’s financial priorities, supporting our local businesses and preparing our workforce, these committees will allow me to advocate for meaningful policies and effective solutions."
The Appropriations Committee is known for its influence in the General Assembly as it oversees the state budget and makes fiscal recommendations. Marcell's involvement aims to ensure responsible and efficient use of taxpayer dollars.
Her position on the Commerce Committee will enable her to tackle business-related issues and economic development. On the Professional Licensure Committee, she plans to focus on enhancing licensing processes across Pennsylvania's various professions.
The Aging and Older Adult Services Committee deals with senior issues such as access to services, long-term care, and quality-of-life improvements.
Besides her committee roles, Marcell will serve as vice chair of the House Republican Policy Committee. In this capacity, she will contribute significantly to shaping legislative strategies and analyzing policies affecting residents throughout Pennsylvania.
