Reps. Kristin Marcell and Joe Hogan, alongside Sen. Frank Farry, have announced that Northampton Township will receive a $1 million state grant for the construction of a new fire station. The funding is provided through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) and will be used to build Northampton Fire Station No. 3 at 3 Township Road.
Marcell expressed her satisfaction with the collaborative effort in securing the grant, stating, "I am proud to have worked with Senator Farry and Representative Hogan to help secure this grant, which will help defray the costs of construction to develop this state-of-the-art facility for our firefighters." She emphasized that the new station would significantly enhance emergency response capabilities in the community.
Farry also commented on his role in obtaining the funding: "I am pleased I was able to help secure this funding for the construction of Northampton Fire Station No. 3. The new station will bring enhanced safety to our first responders and the communities they protect."
Hogan shared his enthusiasm about contributing to securing RACP funding, noting, "This long-term investment will allow the Northampton Township Fire Department to keep our community safe while serving with efficiency and compassion for decades to come."
The RACP supports critical infrastructure projects across Pennsylvania. The new fire station aims to serve as a modern hub for emergency services, aiding local firefighters and first responders while enhancing community safety.
