Rep. Joe Hogan and Sen. Frank Farry have announced that four projects in the Bucks County area will receive funding from the Pennsylvania Local Share Account (LSA) program. These projects are located within the 142nd House District and 6th Senate District.
Langhorne Manor Borough is set to receive $348,826 for replacing drainage swales along West Prospect Avenue with infiltration trenches. Lower Southampton Township has been allocated $313,999 to purchase and install new intersection cameras at approximately 22 intersections across the township.
The Upper Southampton Municipal Authority will receive $593,343 for purchasing and installing two bypass pumps at the Mill Creek Pump Station in Lower Southampton as part of their sanitary sewer station upgrades. Middletown Township is awarded $1 million to complete lighting upgrades at Community Park, which includes lighting replacements at a skate park, two soccer fields, and a baseball field.
"I am thrilled to see this grant money come through for projects in the district," stated Hogan. "All of these projects help improve the quality of life for the citizens of these areas and will help lower Bucks continue to be a great place to live and grow a family."
Farry added, "I’m pleased to have helped secure funding for these important projects in the district. Each addresses a critical need and will greatly benefit our community for years to come."
These grants are provided under the PA Race Horse Development and Gaming Act (Act 2004-71), which allocates gaming revenues through the Commonwealth Financing Authority to support public interest projects in Pennsylvania.
