State Representative Kristin Marcell and Senator Frank Farry have announced that Bucks County will receive significant funding for various projects through the Local Share Account grant program. The grants, provided by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, aim to improve public safety and infrastructure in the region.

“These grants represent significant investments in our community’s safety, infrastructure and quality of life,” stated Marcell. She emphasized the positive impact on residents' well-being and continued security within the district.

Farry added, “We are committed to improving the quality of life for our residents by helping with funding for critical infrastructure and public safety." He highlighted benefits such as upgrading sewer lines, supporting first responders, and enhancing community parks.

Warwick Township received $510,000 for a playground replacement project at Warwick Community Park. This includes new equipment with improved safety features due to previous concerns over deteriorating conditions.

Additionally, Warwick Township secured $1 million to replace "Tower 66," an aerial platform used by Warwick Fire Company. The current equipment's mechanical failures posed risks during emergencies.

Wrightstown Township was awarded $1 million on behalf of Lingohocken Fire Company to replace an old fire pumper essential for fire safety due to the absence of public water supply in certain areas.

Upper Southampton Municipal Authority received $500,000 for sewer line upgrades on Second Street Pike and Knowles Avenue. These updates aim to address disrepair issues within the township's sewer infrastructure.

Upper Southampton Township was granted $96,800 to install license plate recognition cameras at major intersections on Street Road. This system is expected to enhance law enforcement investigations related to vehicles.

Representative Kristin Marcell represents Pennsylvania's 178th Legislative District. For further information or inquiries, media contact Will Patterson can be reached at 267-688-2590 or wpatterson@pahousegop.com.
