Lawmakers to present new legislation for stalking victim protection

State Rep. Kristin Marcell | Pennsylvania 178th Legislative District

Rep. Shelby Labs and her colleagues are set to hold a press conference in Harrisburg to discuss a legislative package aimed at enhancing protections for victims of stalking. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 8, at 1 p.m. at the Capitol Media Center, Room 1, East Wing of the Pennsylvania State Capitol.

Joining Rep. Labs will be Reps. Kristin Marcell, K.C. Tomlinson, Abby Major, and Natalie Mihalek. Former Bedminster Township Police Chief Matthew Phelan, Bedminster Township Police Department Civilian Community Relations Specialist Laurie Hepler, Interim Bedminster Township Chief of Police Nick Virnelson, and other advocates are also expected to attend.

The hearing is planned to be livestreamed online and on Rep. Labs's Facebook page unless technical issues arise.
