FOIA Request to Lower Makefield Township Police Pension Plan Regarding Detailed Information of Active and Retired Employees in the Organization's Pension Fund for the Year 2023 on September 20, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Lower Bucks Today have submitted a request under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law, 65 §66.1 et seq., for detailed records of all active and retired employees enrolled in the Lower Makefield Township Police Pension Plan for the year of 2023.
The requested data fields include last name, first name, middle name, date of birth, employer name, employment start date, employment end date, salary, compensation type, amount received from the pension fund, year of receipt, process date of disbursement from the pension fund, last disbursement amount received from the pension fund and its frequency. We also requested information about each employee's contribution amount to the pension fund in 2023.
We believe that access to these public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information as a media organization, we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.
