Rep. Joe Hogan from Bucks County warned constituents about scammers using Artificial Intelligence to impersonate elected representatives in Pennsylvania. Hogan stated, “Scammers have been getting more creative with their tactics in recent years... using AI to replicate voices... to scam you out of your hard-earned money.” He emphasized, “I will never ask any of my constituents to donate money to a charity over the phone. If you get a call that sounds like me asking for money, it is a scam.”

The incident occurred in Tioga County and has been reported to law enforcement, including the attorney general’s office. Hogan urged residents to contact authorities immediately upon receiving any scam calls. For inquiries, individuals can contact his office at 215-752-6750.
