Sen. Frank Farry, Reps. Kristin Marcell, and Joe Hogan have announced the approval of over $2 million in grants for local projects in Bucks County. The funding will be allocated to various infrastructure and community enhancement initiatives.

"I am proud that we’re partnering with our local communities and their authorities on these worthwhile projects," said Sen. Farry. "The approved funding will enhance our infrastructure’s reliability and support necessary project upgrades, and I am pleased to announce these grants."

The grants will benefit several townships in Bucks County, including Northampton Township, Upper Southampton Township, Warwick Township, Middletown Township, Lower Southampton Township, Penndel, and Langhorne Manor.

Rep. Marcell expressed her satisfaction with the grants, stating, "Stormwater management and infrastructure funding benefits both the environment and our communities. I am pleased that Northampton Township, Upper Southampton Township, and Warwick Township will be receiving these funds."

Rep. Hogan also shared his enthusiasm for the approved grants, emphasizing the importance of infrastructure updates and support for the arts in local communities. "These grants focus on updating our infrastructure and supporting our arts, two vital aspects of our communities, and I am thrilled to see these grants approved," said Rep. Hogan.

The projects that received funding were selected through various programs established in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 ARPA H2O PA Water Supply, Sanitary Sewer, and Storm Water Projects Program (H2O PA) awarded grants for the construction of drinking water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer projects, as well as flood control projects and the repair or rehabilitation of high-hazard unsafe dams.

Additionally, the COVID-19 ARPA PA Arts and Culture Recovery Program provided grants to nonprofit arts and culture organizations, local arts and culture districts, and arts and culture professionals. These grants were aimed at ensuring the stability and recovery of the Commonwealth's arts and culture sector.

Furthermore, the COVID-19 ARPA PA Small Water and Sewer Program (SWS) funded projects related to small water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure. Municipalities and municipal authorities that own and maintain public water supply, sanitary sewer, or stormwater systems were eligible to apply for grants exceeding a total cost of $30,000.

The announcement of these grants marks a significant investment in the development and improvement of local infrastructure and community programs in Bucks County. With the awarded funding, the region will be able to enhance its water supply, sewer systems, stormwater management, and support its arts and culture sector.
