Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 1st district, has shared a series of tweets expressing his concerns and condolences regarding recent events. Fitzpatrick, who replaced previous U.S. Congress member Mike Fitzpatrick in 2017, has been vocal on social media about tragedies affecting communities both locally and nationally.
On July 6, 2025, Fitzpatrick commented on the severe situation unfolding in Texas by stating “The devastation unfolding in Texas is beyond heartbreaking. My heart is with every family facing unthinkable loss and the children who remain missing.” He extended his thoughts to the victims, first responders, and Congressman Chip Roy as they navigate these challenging times.
In another tweet dated July 8, 2025, he mourned the loss of Carla Reynolds from Bristol Borough by writing “Heartbroken by the loss of Bristol Borough’s Carla Reynolds. There are some people whose presence makes a community feel more whole—Carla was one of them.” He highlighted her dedication through her Boots on the Ground Foundation which worked towards feeding the hungry and supporting families.
Later that same day, Fitzpatrick addressed attacks on law enforcement officers in Texas with a post emphasizing his perspective as a former federal law enforcement agent: “As a lifelong federal law enforcement agent, I know our officers selflessly face danger every day.” He condemned these premeditated attacks which targeted those committed to protecting public safety.
Brian Fitzpatrick was born in Philadelphia in 1973 and currently resides in Levittown. A graduate of La Salle University with a BS degree earned in 1996 and holding a JD from Pennsylvania State University obtained in 2001.
