Representative Brian Fitzpatrick, who has served Pennsylvania’s 1st District in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently used his social media platform to highlight stories of service and loss within his community. On July 11, 2025, Fitzpatrick honored the memory of a young constituent with the following statement: “Each week, we share the stories of individuals across our district who go above and beyond in service to others. Today, we honor the memory of an extraordinary young man—23-year-old Bobby Pietrangelo of Sellersville—who gave his life defending freedom on the front lines of https://t.co/t3y4CZzDdu”.
Later that day, Fitzpatrick reflected on a local tragedy from two years prior involving a flash flood that resulted in multiple fatalities. He wrote: “Two years ago, our community was devastated by a flash flood that claimed seven lives—including Susan Barnhart, an employed at the Washington Crossing Post Office. Susan wasn’t just a postal worker—she was the heart of the PO. A steady presence. A warm smile. A friend to all.” The post was accompanied by a link to further content: “https://t.co/iEva19CqJe”.
