Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 1st district since 2017, shared a series of posts on January 12, 2026, highlighting community events and the actions of local leaders and first responders.
In a post published at 16:40 UTC, Fitzpatrick commemorated the life of Matt Haines, stating: “This weekend, we gathered to celebrate the life of Matt Haines, whom we sadly lost in December at just 54—a proud United States Marine, a longtime Captain of the Tullytown Fire Company, and a neighbor who spent more than two decades running toward danger so others could be safe.”
Later that day at 21:31 UTC, he described meeting with young leaders from local religious organizations: “This afternoon, I had the great honor of meeting with the Religious Action Center (RAC) students from Shir Ami in Newtown and @tjofbuckscounty in Doylestown—an extraordinary group of young leaders from Council Rock, Pennsbury, and Central Bucks. Over the years, every time I’ve”
At 22:56 UTC on January 12th, Fitzpatrick recognized emergency responders following recent explosions: “ICYMI: When the Silver Lake Nursing Home explosions devastated our community in December, the incredible men and women of Bucks County Rescue Squad Medic 143 were among the first on scene—moving toward danger with discipline, speed, and lifesaving precision. Led by Chief Martin”
Fitzpatrick was born in Philadelphia in 1973 and currently resides in Levittown. He holds degrees from La Salle University (BS) and Pennsylvania State University (JD). He succeeded Mike Fitzpatrick as representative for Pennsylvania’s 1st district beginning his tenure in Congress in 2017.
