Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 1st district, shared several updates on social media highlighting his recent activities and initiatives. Fitzpatrick, who succeeded Mike Fitzpatrick in 2017, has been an advocate for various causes including ALS research and community programs.
On June 3, 2025, Fitzpatrick emphasized the urgency of addressing ALS as Co-Chair of the bipartisan ALS Caucus. He stated, “ALS doesn’t wait—and neither can we. As Co-Chair of the bipartisan ALS Caucus, I’m working to lead a sustained, coordinated effort to accelerate research, expand care, and bring the most promising treatments within reach.” This statement underscores his commitment to accelerating research and expanding care for those affected by ALS.
The following day, on June 4th, Fitzpatrick attended a DARE graduation at School Lane in Bensalem. He described it as “What a great morning at School Lane in Bensalem celebrating their 5th grade DARE graduation—an event I look forward to celebrating with students across our district each year.” The program is described as more than just educational; it is a “community-wide commitment to our kids.”
Later that same day, Fitzpatrick reported on a meeting with local leaders from Pennsylvania’s 1st District along with representatives from BCAR. He tweeted about this productive gathering: “Productive meeting today with @BCAR President Frank Blumenthal, CEO Pam Croke, and PA-1 community leaders—Stephane Garomon of New Hope; Maryellen O’Brien, Christopher Beadling, and Christy Manetta of Doylestown; and Alex Shnayder of Feasterville-Trevose.” The meeting focused on collaboration with community leaders.
Brian Fitzpatrick has served in Congress since 2017 and was born in Philadelphia in 1973. He holds degrees from La Salle University and Pennsylvania State University.
