Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 1st district, has been active on social media discussing infrastructure and community engagement. Fitzpatrick replaced Mike Fitzpatrick in 2017 and has since focused on various legislative initiatives.
On May 19, 2025, Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick expressed concerns about America’s aging infrastructure and stagnant gas tax rates that have remained unchanged since 1993. He stated, “America’s infrastructure is aging, our gas tax hasn’t changed since 1993, and working families are footing the bill while polluters get a free pass.”
In another post from the same day, Fitzpatrick announced a new legislative initiative with fellow Congressman Salud Carbajal. He tweeted about their joint effort to introduce the bipartisan MARKET CHOICE Act aimed at modernizing infrastructure funding and addressing climate challenges. He mentioned that the proposed bill would replace the outdated gas tax with a rising carbon fee to ensure sustainable investment in America’s future: “Last week, @RepCarbajal and I introduced the bipartisan MARKET CHOICE Act to modernize how we fund infrastructure…”
Later that day, Rep. Fitzpatrick shared his experience visiting Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Telford. He highlighted the importance of service, faith, and community within this setting by stating: “Great spending the afternoon with my friends at the Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Telford—a place where service, faith, and community come together in powerful ways.” He thanked temple members for their hospitality during his visit.
Brian Fitzpatrick was born in Philadelphia in 1973 and currently resides in Levittown. A graduate of La Salle University with a BS degree obtained in 1996 and holding a JD from Pennsylvania State University earned in 2001.
