Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 1st district since 2017, addressed recent incidents of violence and antisemitism in a series of posts on his social media account.

On December 13, 2025, Fitzpatrick commented on the loss of American lives abroad: “Today, we face heartbreaking news abroad and here at home. In Syria, two U.S. Army soldiers and a U.S. interpreter were killed in an ISIS ambush. They were American heroes who served with distinction and courage. We mourn their loss, pray for the recovery of those wounded, and”.

The following day, December 14, he responded to reports of antisemitic violence overseas: “Last night, on the first night of Hanukkah, an evil act of antisemitism was carried out against the Jewish community in Australia. Antisemitism is a vile and dangerous hatred. It has no place in this world and must be confronted, condemned, and eradicated wherever it”.

Later that same day, Fitzpatrick reflected again on the attack in Syria and referenced his own background: “Yesterday, U.S. service members were attacked in Syria, killing three Americans. Having served in the region as a counter-terrorism agent and now on the House Intelligence Committee, I joined Jon Scott to discuss our response, as well as my Bipartisan Health Insurance”.

Fitzpatrick’s comments come amid ongoing security concerns for U.S. personnel stationed abroad and heightened attention to antisemitic incidents worldwide. The congressman has previously worked as a counter-terrorism agent before joining Congress—a role he referenced while discussing national security issues.

Born in Philadelphia in 1973 and currently residing in Levittown, Fitzpatrick holds degrees from La Salle University (BS) and Pennsylvania State University (JD). He succeeded Mike Fitzpatrick as representative for Pennsylvania’s 1st district after the 2016 election.
