Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 1st district since 2017, shared several updates through his social media account regarding key issues and initiatives he is involved in.
On May 5, 2025, Rep. Fitzpatrick informed constituents that “REAL ID Enforcement Starts This Week”. He noted that beginning Wednesday, May 7, 2025, a REAL ID or another federally accepted form of identification will be required for boarding domestic commercial flights or entering certain federal facilities.
Later on the same day, Fitzpatrick highlighted his involvement with various committees and task forces by stating that “Each of the 40+ committees, caucuses, and task forces I serve on stands for a real issue—and each week, I’m putting one in focus and the action we’re taking to solve it.” He specifically mentioned the Bipartisan PFAS Task Force as this week’s focus area, emphasizing his role as Co-Chair and Founding Member leading national efforts.
On May 6, 2025, Fitzpatrick expressed personal appreciation for nurses during National Nurses Week. He shared that “I come from a family of nurses, and I’ve seen the grit, grace, and strength it takes to answer that call.” He reiterated his commitment to advocating for nurses beyond just celebratory occasions.
Brian Fitzpatrick was born in Philadelphia in 1973 and currently resides in Levittown. He graduated from La Salle University with a BS in 1996 and later earned a JD from Pennsylvania State University.
