Pennsylvania House Republicans announced on Mar. 24 that they will introduce the “Freedom Through Affordability” initiative at a press conference scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, at the Capitol Media Center in Harrisburg.
The initiative is aimed at lowering costs and addressing policies that are increasing the cost of living for residents across Pennsylvania. The effort comes as many Pennsylvanians face challenges with everyday expenses.
State Representatives David Rowe, Kristin Marcell, Eric Davanzo, Abby Major, and Joe Hogan are expected to participate in the event. The press conference will begin at 9 a.m., and organizers plan to livestream it online barring technical difficulties.
Marcell represents constituents in Bucks County according to the official website. She resides in Wrightstown with her husband and two children according to the official website. Marcell also serves as a state representative for her district according to the official website.
Her background includes graduating from Council Rock schools and earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Penn State University as well as a master’s degree in public policy from George Washington University according to the official website. In addition, she has served on the Council Rock School Board according to the official website.
The launch of this initiative reflects ongoing efforts by Republican lawmakers to address economic pressures faced by families throughout Pennsylvania.
