More than $100,000 in grants has been awarded to fire and EMS companies serving Pennsylvania’s 142nd District, according to an announcement from Rep. Joe Hogan of Bucks County. The funding comes from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.
The grants are designated for projects such as building or renovating fire and ambulance company facilities, purchasing or repairing equipment, providing training, or reducing existing debt.
Recipients of these grants include Feasterville Fire Co., Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company, Lower Southampton Fire Co., Middletown Township DBA, Northampton Township Volunteer Fire Co., Penndel Fire Co. No. 1, Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad, and William Penn Fire Co.
Rep. Hogan stated, “Across our community, this funding will support critical upgrades and the acquisition of life saving equipment. As we know, our volunteer first responders put their lives on the line with every call, we must ensure they have the resources they need to keep our communities and families safe.”
The funds aim to improve safety measures and resources for local first responders.
