Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has announced the nominations of 32 students from Bucks and Montgomery counties to the United States Military Service Academies for the Class of 2030. The nominees were selected based on their academic achievements, leadership skills, and commitment to public service.
“Few responsibilities are more profound than nominating the next generation of military leaders. Over the past several months, I’ve had the privilege of meeting with these students — hearing about their motivations, families, and the mentors who shaped them. What stood out was not just their academic, athletic, and service achievements, but their maturity, discipline, and clarity of purpose,” said Fitzpatrick.”To wear our nation’s uniform is to accept the solemn responsibility of defending the Constitution and safeguarding the American people. There is no greater trust. At a time when principled leadership is needed more than ever, these young men and women have demonstrated the integrity and resolve that service demands. PA-1 has always produced leaders willing to step forward when called—and this class continues that tradition.”
Each year, Fitzpatrick’s Service Academy Nomination Committee evaluates candidates through a competitive process involving veterans and military personnel from within Pennsylvania’s First District. The nominees may be considered for appointments at one or more of four academies: United States Military Academy at West Point, United States Naval Academy, United States Air Force Academy, and United States Merchant Marine Academy.
The list includes students from various local high schools such as Central Bucks High School West, New Hope-Solebury High School, Nazareth Academy High School, Council Rock High School South, Germantown Academy, La Salle College High School among others. These individuals will now continue in the appointment process for admission into one or more of these federal institutions.
Fitzpatrick congratulated all nominees along with their families and expressed gratitude to educators and mentors who support young leaders in his district. He noted that these nominees reflect dedication and values important to both Pennsylvania’s First Congressional District and the country.
