During a March 26 inspection focused on foodborne biological hazards, Albanian Products, LLC in Levittown received two citations from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), according to data posted on the FDA’s website.
The FDA’s website shows the company was cited for the following violations:
- ‘You did not document that you conducted an evaluation or reviewed and assessed an evaluation conducted by another entity to determine a foreign supplier’s performance and the risk posed by a food.’
- ‘You did not conduct and document or obtain documentation of one or more supplier verification activities before importing the food into the United States.’
The FDA routinely inspects facilities nationwide to determine if workplaces and their products comply with FDA regulations developed to protect public health. The agency publicly releases inspection results.
According to its website, the FDA is a federal agency principally responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical supplies and tobacco products.
