More than $6 million in state grants have been allocated to various community development and infrastructure projects throughout Bucks County, according to an announcement from Sen. Frank Farry (R-Bucks). The funding comes from the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Act 13 Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program and the Local Share Account (LSA) Program, which channels gaming revenues into local communities.

“These grants are a major win for Bucks County,” said Farry. “They support critical upgrades to public safety, recreation, infrastructure and accessibility, ensuring our communities continue to thrive and meet the needs of residents.”

Projects funded under the Act 13 program include improvements to Hulmeville Borough Recreation Field ($189,480) and construction of a walking trail at Penndel Memorial Park ($170,000).

Upper Southampton Township’s allocations include purchasing an emergency generator for water and sewer infrastructure ($145,000), building improvements at the police and administration facility with ADA-compliant features ($194,103), new rescue tools for Southampton Fire Company No. 1 ($159,452), as well as window and door replacements at the community center ($56,239).

Warrington Township will reconstruct a retention basin at Palomino Farms to meet safety standards ($520,000). Warwick Township plans renovations at Guinea Lane Park Playground with ADA-compliant equipment ($370,000). Wrightstown Township is set to replace a deteriorated storm sewer pipe on Thompson Road for improved drainage and road safety ($108,781).
