Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, who has represented Pennsylvania’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently used his social media platform to reflect on themes of freedom, justice, and sacrifice. Fitzpatrick, a Philadelphia native born in 1973 and currently residing in Levittown, shared posts commemorating Ukraine’s independence, honoring a local judicial figure, and remembering the American lives lost during the Afghanistan withdrawal.
On August 24, 2025, Fitzpatrick posted about Ukraine’s enduring struggle for liberty: “The story of Ukraine is the story of freedom—born in struggle, sustained by courage, and strengthened through sacrifice.
Thirty-four years after declaring independence, Ukraine shows the world a timeless truth: liberty will outlast tyranny, and freedom will always triumph over”.
A day later on August 25, he paid tribute to Alan Rubenstein’s legacy within Bucks County: “In Bucks County and across our region, the name Alan Rubenstein has never been just a name—it has stood as a symbol of justice, strength, and integrity. For nearly half a century, as Assistant District Attorney, District Attorney, and Judge of the Court of Common Pleas, he”.
On August 26, Fitzpatrick remembered those who died during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan: “Four years ago, thirteen American heroes were lost in the disastrous and entirely avoidable withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Their loss was a tragedy that never should have happened, but their legacy is, and will forever be, one of immense courage. They were men and women who”.
Fitzpatrick’s reflections come against his background as a long-serving congressman for Pennsylvania’s 1st district—a position he assumed after replacing Mike Fitzpatrick in 2017—and with an educational foundation from La Salle University (BS) and Penn State (JD). His recent statements continue his pattern of public engagement on national security issues and community leadership.
