U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, who represents Pennsylvania’s 1st district, recently highlighted both local educational milestones and ongoing legislative efforts in a series of social media posts.
On March 26, Fitzpatrick marked a significant anniversary for a local institution by posting, “What an incredibly special visit to Our Lady Of Mount Carmel School in Doylestown as they celebrate 150 years of faith, education, and community. For a century and a half, OLMC has helped shape generations of young people not only through academic excellence, but through the”.
The following day, Fitzpatrick addressed national policy developments related to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). On March 27, he wrote, “We made important progress today toward a real bipartisan path to reopen DHS. After meeting with Senator Collins and colleagues, @RepTomSuozzi and I are continuing to advance our bipartisan proposal that fully funds DHS, pays our TSA agents, restores day-to-day operations, and”.
Later on March 27, Fitzpatrick further emphasized the need for bipartisan cooperation regarding DHS operations: “This doesn’t get resolved by talking past each other. It gets resolved by focusing on the problem in front of us and building a real two-party solution. I joined @kaitlancollins on @TheSourceCNN with @RepTomSuozzi to break down our plan to reopen DHS: fully fund DHS, restore”.
Fitzpatrick has served in Congress since 2017 after succeeding his brother Mike Fitzpatrick. He was born in Philadelphia in 1973 and currently resides in Levittown. His educational background includes degrees from La Salle University and Pennsylvania State University.
