Representative Brian Fitzpatrick, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 1st district, has made recent announcements through his social media platform regarding legislative initiatives and resolutions he is supporting. Fitzpatrick, who replaced former member Mike Fitzpatrick in 2017, has a background rooted in Philadelphia and academic credentials from La Salle University and Pennsylvania State University.
On May 14, 2025, Rep. Fitzpatrick addressed America’s aging infrastructure and climate change concerns by introducing the bipartisan MARKET CHOICE Act with Rep. Carbajal. He stated, “With America’s infrastructure aging and climate threats accelerating, it’s time for action—not more delays.” The proposed legislation aims to tackle these pressing issues through a comprehensive plan.
Later that day, Fitzpatrick highlighted Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM) by sharing that his resolution to recognize JAHM had passed the House with strong bipartisan support. He noted the importance of this recognition at a time when antisemitism is on the rise: “Each May, Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM) honors the profound contributions Jewish Americans have made to our nation.”
On May 15, 2025, Fitzpatrick turned his attention to family leave policies. He announced the introduction of the bipartisan FAIR Leave Act alongside Rep. McBride and Rep. Haley Stevens. This initiative seeks to modernize family leave policies for working families: “One thing I’ve consistently heard from members of our community is how outdated family leave policies are failing today’s working families.”
Brian Fitzpatrick has been serving in Congress since 2017 and resides in Levittown, Pennsylvania.
