U.S. Representative Brian Fitzpatrick, who serves Pennsylvania’s 1st congressional district, recently used his social media platform to highlight local and national issues ranging from community recognition to public health and the legacy of Social Security.
On August 13, 2025, Fitzpatrick posted about a local veterans group’s achievement: “On Monday, Yardley-Lower Makefield VFW Post 6393 took the stage Louisville at the VFW National Convention to receive one of the organization’s highest honors—the 2025 Outstanding National Community Service Post of the Year for the Eastern Conference. The following day, he reflected on a significant milestone in American social policy. On August 14, he wrote: “Ninety years ago, America made a promise: that after a lifetime of work, every citizen deserves dignity, security, and peace of mind in retirement. That promise, enshrined in the Social Security Act, built the backbone of our middle class—and it remains as vital today as it was”.

Fitzpatrick has represented Pennsylvania’s 1st District since 2017 after succeeding Mike Fitzpatrick. He was born in Philadelphia in 1973 and currently resides in Levittown. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from La Salle University earned in 1996 and a Juris Doctor from Pennsylvania State University obtained in 2001.
