U.S. Representative Brian Fitzpatrick, who has served Pennsylvania’s 1st district in Congress since 2017, recently shared a series of posts on social media highlighting local remembrance events, legislative action, and community tributes.
On April 2, 2026, Fitzpatrick commemorated the centennial of a significant event in Perkasie Fire Company’s history: “In its 136-year history, the Perkasie Fire Company has lost only two firefighters in the line of duty, and last night, exactly 100 years later, we came together to remember them. At the very moment that call came in on April 1, 1926, along with neighboring departments, we” (April 2, 2026).
The following day, he addressed legislative efforts related to homeland security funding and reform: “From the start, the right course was clear: fully fund DHS and meet the call for reform. That is exactly what @RepTomSuozzi and I have done with our Reforming ICE and Protecting America Act—bipartisan legislation we unveiled yesterday to fully fund DHS while advancing” (April 3, 2026).
Later that same day, Fitzpatrick paid tribute to a notable community member from his home region: “Each week, we share stories of people whose lives leave a permanent imprint on our community. This week, we honor one of those rare individuals whose presence made our corner of the world better, stronger, and more connected: Art Younglove of Bristol Borough and Levittown, whom” (April 3, 2026).
Fitzpatrick was born in Philadelphia in 1973 and currently resides in Levittown. He succeeded Mike Fitzpatrick as representative for Pennsylvania’s 1st district after being elected to Congress in 2017. Fitzpatrick graduated from La Salle University with a BS in 1996 and earned his JD from Pennsylvania State University at Carlisle in 2001.
