Brian Fitzpatrick highlights local heroism and legislative initiatives in Pennsylvania’s 1st district

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 1st district, highlighted local achievements and legislative progress in a series of posts on September 12, 2025.

In one post, Fitzpatrick recognized a community member for their bravery: “Each week, we share stories from across our district of neighbors whose character and acts of service remind us what makes Bucks County such a special place to call home. Today, we honor a man whose courage and quick action saved a life. Meet this week’s Hometown Hero—Dr. John” (September 12, 2025).

Fitzpatrick also discussed efforts addressing environmental health risks: “As Co-Chair of the bipartisan PFAS Task Force, I’ve worked to confront toxic “forever chemicals” threatening families, veterans, and communities across our nation. This week, that work delivered a breakthrough: my bipartisan legislation creating the first-ever PFAS Coordinator at” (September 12, 2025).

Highlighting advocacy for disability rights, Fitzpatrick posted: “For more than 50 years, the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) has led the national movement for disability rights and high-quality community services. Across the nation and in our own community, their work advances our shared mission: empowering people” (September 12, 2025).

Fitzpatrick has served as representative since replacing Mike Fitzpatrick in 2017. He was born in Philadelphia in 1973 and resides in Levittown. His educational background includes degrees from La Salle University and Pennsylvania State University.
