U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, representing Pennsylvania’s 1st district, posted a series of updates on July 23 and 24, 2025, highlighting his recent engagements with federal aviation authorities and education professionals.

On July 23, Fitzpatrick reported a conversation with FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford about new safety measures for aircraft. He wrote, “Just spoke with FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford to discuss the recent decision implementation of secondary cockpit barriers on newly manufactured aircraft. As the lead author of the Saracini Aviation Safety Act, signed into law as part of the 2018 FAA Reauthorization, I” (July 23, 2025).

Later that day, Fitzpatrick described a meeting focused on student mental health. He stated, “Great morning with the National Association of School Psychologists—frontline partners in the urgent fight to support student mental health and the professionals who serve them. We talked through where we go from here—from my Mental Health in Schools Excellence Program Act to” (July 23, 2025).

On July 24, Fitzpatrick discussed his participation at an educational leadership conference. He posted, “Great to speak with my friends and partners at @PSEA’s Summer Leadership Conference, including PA-1’s own Colleen Brodbeck and Melvin Soria. Our conversation centered on what truly sustains our public education system: protecting essential funding, expanding mental health” (July 24, 2025).

Fitzpatrick has served in Congress since replacing Mike Fitzpatrick in 2017 as representative for Pennsylvania’s 1st district. Born in Philadelphia in 1973 and currently residing in Levittown, he holds degrees from La Salle University and Pennsylvania State University.
