Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, who has represented Pennsylvania’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently shared updates on social media regarding his legislative priorities and community engagement.
On April 9, 2026, Fitzpatrick posted about the importance of aligning artificial intelligence advancements with the interests of American workers. He stated, “AI must work for American workers—not the other way around. If America is going to lead the world in artificial intelligence, we must also lead in ensuring that progress strengthens—not sidelines—the people who make this country work. That’s why I called on the Administration,” referencing a call to action directed at federal leadership.
The following day, April 10, Fitzpatrick highlighted his annual initiative with local student leaders. In a tweet he wrote, “Each year, I bring together student leaders from high schools across our community for our PA-1 Student Task Force—one of the most meaningful initiatives we lead. Together, we dig into the legislative and appropriations priorities shaping PA-1, explore ways to bridge divides,” describing efforts to involve youth in civic processes and discussions relevant to their district.
Later that same day, Fitzpatrick reflected on a school visit: “What a great visit yesterday with the third grade class at Seylar Elementary in Pennridge School District. I was so impressed by the questions these young leaders asked about our nation’s history, how our government works, ways we can help others in our community and across the”, underscoring his focus on education and outreach within his constituency.
Fitzpatrick has served as U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 1st District since replacing Mike Fitzpatrick in 2017. Born in Philadelphia in 1973 and currently residing in Levittown at age 49, he holds degrees from La Salle University (BS) and Pennsylvania State University (JD). These educational credentials have contributed to his approach toward policy-making and constituent engagement.
