U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, representing Pennsylvania’s 1st district since 2017, posted a series of messages on social media reflecting on recent political violence and the legacy of Charlie Kirk, as well as commemorating the anniversary of September 11.
On September 10, 2025, Fitzpatrick expressed concern about violence in American politics and called for unity. In his post he wrote: “Praying for Charlie Kirk and his family. Please join me. Political violence is despicable — morally wrong, fundamentally un-American, and intolerable in any and all forms. It cannot continue. We must stand together, across every divide, to reject it completely and recommit” (posted September 10, 2025).
Later that day, Fitzpatrick commented on the impact of Charlie Kirk following news reports about Kirk’s death at age 31. He stated: “At only 31, Charlie Kirk left an imprint far beyond his years. He loved our country, and he inspired a generation of young Americans to engage in civic life and pursue common ground through dialogue, regardless of their views. This is a profoundly sad day for our nation.” (posted September 10, 2025).
On the morning of September 11, Fitzpatrick marked the twenty-fourth anniversary of the terrorist attacks with a message honoring first responders and citizens who showed resilience that day. He wrote: “Twenty-four years ago, at this very moment, the quiet of an ordinary morning was broken and the course of our nation shifted forever. Yet in the face of evil, our nation rose with something mightier than hate: the bravery of first responders, the grace and humanity of strangers,” (posted September 11, 2025).
Brian Fitzpatrick has served in Congress since replacing Mike Fitzpatrick in 2017. Born in Philadelphia in 1973 and currently residing in Levittown at age 49, he holds degrees from La Salle University and Pennsylvania State University.
