Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, who has represented Pennsylvania’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, addressed several key issues in a series of posts on social media between December 3 and December 4, 2025.
On December 3, Fitzpatrick drew attention to the plight of Ukrainian children amid ongoing conflict, writing, “19,546. That’s how many Ukrainian children have been taken since 2022. At today’s Senate Appropriations hearing on The Abduction of Ukrainian Children by the Russian Federation, I spoke to the truth behind that number: these aren’t accidents of war. They are intentional,” referencing his remarks at a Senate Appropriations hearing focused on this issue.
The following day, Fitzpatrick participated in an international forum and highlighted global efforts against authoritarianism. On December 4, he stated, “Freedom doesn’t defend itself. It’s protected by nations willing to draw the line. Yesterday at the @idualliance Forum, I joined a panel on ‘Countering Authoritarian Expansion from Ukraine to Taiwan,’ focused on what this moment demands of all of us. When we confront tyranny in”.
Later that day, Fitzpatrick addressed domestic policy concerns regarding veterans and healthcare innovation for Americans with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). He posted on December 4: “Since entering Congress, I’ve worked to strengthening support for our veterans and accelerate solutions for Americans living with ALS— including authoring the bipartisan Right to Try Act, which is now law. Today, before the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, I brought those missions”.
Fitzpatrick was born in Philadelphia in 1973 and currently resides in Levittown. He holds degrees from La Salle University and Pennsylvania State University and succeeded Mike Fitzpatrick as representative in 2017. Over his tenure in Congress, he has advocated for human rights abroad and legislative solutions for health care issues domestically.
