Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, who represents Pennsylvania’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, addressed issues ranging from education funding to national and international crises in a series of posts on his social media account in mid-October 2025.
On October 15, Fitzpatrick highlighted his role as Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Disabilities Caucus and discussed the importance of maintaining support for the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). He wrote, “As Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Disabilities Caucus, I know how critical the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is to our students, families, and educators. The following day, Fitzpatrick turned his attention to concerns about staffing reductions at a federal health agency. On October 16, he posted, “America’s mental health and substance use crisis demands action—not retreat. On October 17, Fitzpatrick commented on U.S. foreign policy under former President Trump, stating, “President Trump successfully resolved the Middle-East conflict by correctly identifying, and directing his ire towards, the true aggressor: Hamas. He can successfully resolve the European conflict by correctly identifying, and directing his ire towards, the true aggressor: Putin.”
Fitzpatrick has represented Pennsylvania’s 1st District in Congress since 2017, succeeding Mike Fitzpatrick. Born in Philadelphia in 1973, he resides in Levittown. Fitzpatrick holds a Bachelor of Science from La Salle University and a Juris Doctor from Pennsylvania State University’s Carlisle campus.
